1. Government Ferry

One of the primary ways to travel from one island to another in Andaman is by going on a government ferry. A ferry can be considered to be a ship or a boat used to carry passengers and goods. Ferries are used primarily for short distances.

The operations of the government ferries are directed by the DSS, short for Directorate of Shipping Services. The ferries travel to a lot of places in Andaman. The places most commonly traveled by ferries are Port Blair, Havelock Island, Neil Island, and other islands found in Andaman.

If you wish to book a government ferry ticket, you will have to line up at their counters. There is no way to book these tickets online. However, if you are a tourist, you can try contacting your local travel agents. Additionally, securing a government ferry ticket during the high season can be difficult because there is too much demand.

2. Private Ferry

Another alternative from government ferries is private ferries. If you do not wish to travel by government ferries, this is your best option. There are four private ferries in Andaman.

Makruzz is a ferry that can take up to 280 passengers. Additionally, this ferry only travels to Port Blair, Havelock Island, and Neil Island. Another private ferry is Green Ocean Andaman. This ferry has a passenger capacity of 220 people, and it only travels to Port Blair and Havelock Island. Coastal Cruise is another private ferry available in Andaman. It can carry up to 218 passengers. Additionally, it only travels to Port Blair, Havelock Island, and Neil Island. The last private ferry available is Sealink Cruise. This ferry has the smallest passenger capacity, 200 people, but it can travel to Port Blair, Havelock Island, and Neil Island.

As you may have noticed, private ferries only operate between the most popular touristic islands.

3. Charter Boat

Another handy way to travel through the islands of Andaman is with a charter boat. Boat Chartering is the practice of chartering or renting a boat to travel to various island destinations. Boat chartering can be a great adventure.

To charter a boat, you have to get in agreement with a charter company. You will set a contract that stipulates that you will navigate and berth the boat. You will become the captain of the boat. However, if you wish to charter a boat, you need to have some experience in sailing.

If you wish to charter a boat, it is best if you travel with people. Traveling alone can be dangerous. Additionally, if you are not familiar with the Andaman area, make sure to have a map with you or have someone who knows the area be with you. Charter boat is a great way to travel around Andaman.

4. Cab Rental

Once you arrive at Port Blair, your flight service ends there. To reach different parts of this beautiful Island, you need to take road or water transport. If you want quality cab services, we have well-maintained cab services. The cabs are safe to travel than traveling in crowded buses. All the safety measures are taken care of inside the cabs, and after every customer leaves the cab, we sanitize and keep it safe for new customers. If you plan to come with many friends or with a big family, you no need to rent multiple cabs. We offer tempo services also on a rental basis.

5. Rent a bike/scooty

There is no substitute for riding and enjoying the journey. This especially applies to tourist places, and if you are roaming on Andaman Island, you must see the beauty of this place by riding in bike or scooter. Hence, we are ready to provide this pleasure with our scooter and bike rentals. If you have a valid driving license, you can take this service and enjoy the sights on both sides of the road. Additionally, this service is suitable for solo or couples, and it gives more private space. Furthermore, the expense is also less in bike/scooty rentals than cabs.
